fractious - [FRAK-shuhs] - adjective

Definition:
1. Tending to cause trouble; unruly.
2. Irritable; snappish; cranky.

Usage:
Here's hoping we have a less fractious day than yesterday, when almost everyone I came in contact with had gotten up on the wrong side of the bed--and an hour earlier.
