Word of the Week #89 - pukka

pukka - [PUHK-uh] - adjective

1. Authentic; genuine.
2. Superior; first-class.

Nothing beats the pukka fish dishes you get at coastal seafood restaurants; when you live several hundred miles from the ocean, the fish often tastes like it.

Very nice word. Funny story. Back in his college days, everyone called my husband Pukka. That brings new meaning to his nickname for me. lol

I've heard that word, but never really thought about it in a sentence before. Very nice. =)
