Definition:
1. A complicated and embarrassing state of things.
2. A confused or complicated disagreement or misunderstanding.
3. An intricate, complicated plot, as of a drama or work of fiction.
4. A confused mass; a tangle.


Usage:
Why is it that the thoughts in my mind often resemble the imbroglio of cords that surround my computer?

That's really funny. I have one of those imbroglio things all over my desk and spilling off onto the floor My chair wheels get tangled in it frequently.
